RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY INSURANCE — PRACTICAL INITIATIVES AND NEW RESULTS!
KAFIL-SUG‘URTA JSC places particular emphasis on expanding residential property insurance coverage, making insurance services more accessible to the public, and introducing effective mechanisms in this area.
To this end, a series of practical activities on residential property insurance was carried out at the Nurafshan City Branch under the leadership of the Director of the Insurance Services Development Department of the Head Office of KAFIL-SUG‘URTA JSC.
At the initial stage, cooperation was established with the Nurafshan City Administration, and a special training seminar was organized with the participation of representatives of the city administration, the Association of Mahallas, and chairpersons of local mahalla citizens’ assemblies. During the seminar, the essence of residential property insurance and its benefits for residents, the local area, and the local budget were explained in detail. Qumariq Mahalla was selected as the pilot area.
At the next stage, efforts were made to recruit and train new insurance agents. More than 20 candidates were interviewed, and 4 of the most active candidates were selected. Special training sessions were organized for them, providing the necessary knowledge of insurance product terms and practical skills for working with the electronic system. The agents were also provided with the necessary tools and equipment for their activities.
On September 8, practical outreach and insurance activities began in Qumariq Mahalla. During the day, agents and specialists visited 96 households, explaining the benefits and opportunities provided by insurance.
As a result, 21 households were insured on the very first day. Under each contract, the insured amount was UZS 50 million, while the insurance premium amounted to UZS 100,000. This became one of the key results of the initial stage of the pilot project.
In addition, based on proposals received during the practical implementation process, the “E-imorat” section of the e.kafil.uz platform was further simplified and improved. It now takes an average of 5 minutes to issue one insurance contract. The system also allows photographs of the insured property to be uploaded.
At present, the established group of agents continues insurance and public awareness activities in local communities on a systematic basis according to an approved schedule.
This pilot project represents an important step toward raising insurance awareness among the population, simplifying access to insurance services, and bringing insurance services closer to every household.
